A Cleveland Museum and Waterfront Park Engagement

Jenna and Neil’s engagement session was an amazing experience full of romance, sweetness, and love. Jenna and Neil’s love story began at the University of Akron where they both studied biology. They met in the spring of their junior year. Neil caught Jenna’s eye not just for his handsome looks, but his kind heart. They really hit it off on a ski trip with mutual friends, and as Jenna says, “The rest is history.”

We had been anxiously waiting to take a couple to the Cleveland Museum of Art and Edgewater Park for an engagement session. We threw this idea out to Jenna and Neil and they excitedly agreed. When we suggested these two locations, little did we know they had their first date at the Art Museum and Neil proposed to Jenna at Edgewater Park. It was such a serendipitous moment! It was like it was meant to be!

The first part of their engagement session was the art museum. The ornate and detailed architecture gave such a stunning setting for the couple’s first photographs. The museum’s ornate design and intricate details of the pillars and arches served as the perfect frame for such a gorgeous couple.

As we walked around the museum, we couldn’t help but notice a huge, beautiful weeping willow that provided a lovely contrast to the museum’s stately features. The willow’s cascading branches created a natural and serene backdrop for a few shots. Jenna and Neil’s love for each other was evident, and their natural chemistry made it easy to capture some incredible photos.

We then headed to Edgewater Park, which offered stunning views of Lake Erie and the city skyline. We also loved that we returned to the place where this sweet couple got engaged. As the sun began to set, the sky filled with vibrant colors, adding to the romantic atmosphere of the shoot. Jenna and Neil changed into more relaxed outfits that perfectly complemented the park’s laid-back atmosphere. The park’s picturesque scenery provided an idyllic setting for the couple’s more playful moments. The contrast of the urban environment, the natural landscape, and the stunning sunset made for a great balance in their photos. The result was a beautiful mix of the city’s vibrant energy and the calmness of the waterfront.

Towards the end of the session, Jenna and Neil wanted to incorporate their upcoming professions and college into the shoot. Both studying to be doctors, Neil a podiatrist, and Jenna an optometrist. Jenna threw on a pair of glasses, and threw her feet up on Neil’s lap for a foot massage. The results were fantastic, and the photos that nodded to their chosen professions were some of the most creative and fun shots of the day.

Jenna and Neil’s love for one another was evident throughout the entire shoot, and it was a pleasure to capture their magic on camera. The stunning architecture of the Cleveland Museum of Art, the picturesque views of Lake Erie and city skyline, and the relaxed and playful atmosphere of Waterfront Park, all played a part in the evening and made for a truly unforgettable engagement session.
